Accommodation
There are two options available to international students during their time at Tsinghua University. The first is to stay in one of the international dorms on campus, and the other is to find alternative accommodation off-campus. Living on campus is extremely convenient and enjoyable. All of the dorm rooms are well equipped with all the necessities a student would need. There are two international student blocks: Zijing Apartment Buildings 19-23 and the Asian Youth Exchange Centre Building 6. These come in three different room arrangements.

Dorms each come with quilts, pillows and bed linen. But of course, you are free to buy your own at any point. Moreover, hot water can be used from 6:00 am – Midnight each day. Generally, air conditioning is turned on between June 1st – September 30th, with the heating being on between Nov 1st to March 15th.

Friends and Family are allowed to visit during the hours of 8:00 am – 11:00 pm. But they must register at the reception desk first on the ground floor of the building, presenting their ID. Students living in the dormitories must abide by all the rules and regulations including no smoking indoors, no using cooking appliances outside the kitchen and storing electrical vehicle batteries inside.

However, due to limited places available on campus, every student cannot be guaranteed a place in the dorms. Therefore, accommodation should be reserved in advance of arriving. Those who cannot do this will need to make their own housing arrangement. Students who receive the Chinese Government Scholarship (full scholarship) or have been selected to live in the Asian Youth Centre will automatically be reserved a room.
